Meeting Notes
Topics: Verify the status of the activities of the GRSF development, ensure the release of the first version of the GRSF accessible through the iMarine Data Catalogue.
Participants:
CNR (Pasquale Pagano, Costantino Perciante, Francesco Mangiacrapa),
FORTH (Yannis Marketakis, Nikos Minadakis),
FAO (Anton Ellenbroek, Aureliano Gentile)
Notes
- CNR and FORTH reported the current status of the activities. A summary of the activities can also be found at the set of slides attached in the end of this wiki page
- CNR asked for some real records (both the original ones and the merged ones) to be published in the data catalogue. CNR will modify the GRSF publishing service, so that it will inspect the "refersTo" property. If it is empty then it is a record from an original source. After publishing the GRSF Data Catalogue publishing service will return to the client (the GRSF-services-core component) the ID and the URL of the record in the catalogue. These information will be used (within the "refersTo" property) when publishing a merged GRSF record.
- FORTH proposed some modifications in the fields of the JSON objects. These modifications are shown in the set of slides (attached at the bottom of this page).
- A concern was expressed about a too close dependency between the GRSF KB data model and the catalogue data model. As far as possible the catalogue should receive the KB data model "passively" and update itself "transparently".
- FAO expressed the need to revise the KB and the catalogue in advance of the release so to validate the data and to avoid the release of information wrongly assembled. With the understanding which however the prototype will not offer all the expected features.
Follow-up actions
- CNR will modify the GRSF Data Catalogue publishing service for capturing the discussed issues
- FORTH will update the GRSF-services-core component for capturing the discussed issues
- After the completion of the above FORTH will publish some data (original and merged records)
- Next meeting scheduled for Dec 7, 11.30 am (CET)
