Notes
- FORTH described the current status as regards the publishing of GRSF records into GRSF data catalogue. Records can be published successfully, however information about catches and landings cannot be uploaded (a CSV file is required). CNR responded that it depends if we want to treat them as values or resources. Agreed to submit them as values, and the data catalogue publisher API will show the most recent value point to the CSV file with all the information.
- CNR is expecting real records to evaluate the GRSF data catalogue.
- The competency queries are visualized a static html page that contains links to the virtuoso triplestore SPARQL endpoint. The results are shown as tabular data in html format. We can either show them on a different tab within the data catalogue, or we can create a different portlet. The second option is rather straightforward.
- GRSF data catalogue reject/approve mechanism is not yet implemented. Two things are needed: (a) the functionality in the GRSF data catalogue (front-end and back-end) and (b) the service that will update the GRSF KB accordingly. The process is: (1) that the -admin view of the- GRSF data catalogue will submit a request for status change (i.e. approve a record) in the GRSF KB service with the identifier of the record and the new status, and update the data catalogue entry. (2) the GRSF KB service will update the corresponding information in the KB. (3) Periodically the -public view of the- GRSF data catalogue will be updated so that approved records will be displayed.
Follow-up actions
The following actions are expected to be completed by the next release 4.2.
- FORTH to publish sorted time-series, so that CNR can update the GRSF data catalogue publishing API for showing the most recent ones (5 years or 5 most recent values) as set of values in the Catalog page and produce the CSV file in the Resource page to display all of them.
- FORTH to publish soon some dozens of real records, so that CNR can evaluate the GRSF data catalogue. Then publish the entire dataset for the relase (provided that the GRSF KB has been properly built).
- FORTH to develop the service for updating GRSF KB with the results of approve/reject for records.
- CNR to add the Competency Queries in the Catalogue or in the GRSF VRE (as a fall-back solution).
- CNR to create a new VRE "GRSF Admin" for the editorial and publishing workflow of the GRSF records by authorized users with specific roles.
