Topics: Discussion about the current status of the modelling activities as regards FIRMS and resolving open issues.

Notes

• FORTH prepared a document (which can be found on the bottom of the web page) containing the appropriate XPATH expressions for the FIRMS concepts that have been identified in the minimum requirements list. During the discussion FORTH asked for confirmation or further clarification for some concepts. The results from this discussion are described in detail in the attached document.
• As regards the generation of unique identifiers, the policy is not yet finalized. However we can proceed with the following policies and if necessary update them later
  • for Stocks: <species_code> + <area_code> + <management unit>
  • for Fisheries: <species_code> + <area_code> + <management unit> + <gear type> + <flag state> + <prod system type>
• FAO informed FORTH that they have prepared a first draft describing the detailed requirements (based on the discussion at https://support.d4science.org/projects/stocksandfisherieskb/wiki/16-04-15_GRSF_overall_architecture)

Follow-up actions

• FORTH: to finalize the work on modelling FIRMS, based on FAO recommendations
• FAO: to contact RAM team so that we can organize a similar teleconference for discussing RAM modelling activities and open issues
