Main discussions¶

• New version of RAM DB (4.5) being released. FORTH to reharvest from RAM in the coming weeks, potentially for FIRMS as well due to new updates.
• New data refresh mostly completed and have published in the GRSF catalogue. Polygon work is still underway for the map viewer.
• New filters (groups) in the GRSF catalogue, as well as competency queries.
• Outcome of Pisa meeting (CNR colleagues, Yannis & Aureliano) - Agreed developments for Traceability Unit and FAO SDG 14.4.1 questionnaire. Requirements are awaited for implementing the concept of traceability unit in the CKan catalogue.
• Traceability unit: If key elements are not available in the connecting record, then it is not considered a Traceability unit.
• Traceability unit will be added as a "Type" in the GRSF, similar to "Assessment Unit"
• Functional units for Nephrops & Sandeel: Have all information for Nephrops, but cannot ingest currently in FIRMS (it is on the list of things to do). Can send info on Functional Units. Sandeel isn’t finalised yet.
• Update on area codes: Arturo has almost completed Package 2, USA area codes still to be added and are proving challenging due to multiple resources being used in FishSource. Package 3 in progress.

Action points¶

• Short names can be reviewed and edited via management panel. As an example, Bering Sea blue crab requires short name to be East Baring Sea.

FORTH

• Apply rule for Traceability unit: if connected with MR then unassessed area to be used.
• Traceability unit long name: Apply labels from semantic identifier and then we can change at a later stage, FORTH able to implement changes at a later stage.
  
• Traceability unit short name: Always apply FishSource short name for Fishery, and always FishSource short name for stock, but if FIRMS connected record we use FIRMS short name.
• Include the new area convention that Arturo has been working on in the GRSF, also to be included in GitHub when completed.
• Change "pac_tun (IATTC)" to IATTC in "area code type" competency query when we refresh FIRMS data.
• Traceability unit semantic ID to be included in the GRSF API endpoint, allowing searches for specific Traceability units, as well as the entire list.
  

FAO

• Provide Functional units for Nephrops & Sandeel to FORTH and include in the GRSF GIThub.

RAM
