Improve/Develop services

  • GRSF APIs/competency queries: advanced queries based on geographic locations (e.g. EEZs), species or group of species, gears or group of gears, flag states, and management entity (rfb/country).

  • GRSF APIs/competency queries: Services to summarize stock status at different geographic levels

  • GRSF APIs/competency queries: Services to download available data applying customizable filters

  • Automated computation of bounding boxes for all GRSF records and exposed through API in selected formats (i.e. GeoJSON)

  • User Interface for above mentioned APIs - MAP VIEWER

  • Search feature based on geospatial data within Ckan

  • Submission of new fishery records

  • Submission of new stock records

Follow-up actions

Immediate actions for the pilot release

  • FORTH: The data harvest needs to be done in a supervised way and in a test environment so to avoid to compromise the pilot release - the harvest can go in parallel together with the other activities below mentioned

  • Tickets have been assigned to Yannis who will make an estimate of the effort and follow up as possible

  • CNR-FORTH to Fix the GRSF service updater which should solve the merge, the connection, the live update in the GRSF VRE

  • The GRSF KB needs to be updated vs new versions of FAO areas, fishing gears, species list etc. RAM area mapping might need an update as well with latest classifications

  • Tickets related to Text transforming - capitalisation, Duplication of data upon FORTH/FAO

  • CNR to check Missing tags for areas

  • CNR to add Download facility from CKan

Improve/Develop services

Geospatial:

  • FORTH to provide Sparql query with metadata and BBOX for Emmanuel who will use it for develop the GRSF viewer. The viewer will be based on the GRSF KB.
  • CNR to add area search widgets under item list and if possible also in the GRSF catalogue home page. The search widget will be based on the GRSF Catalogue.
