Description

The first version of the GRSF is available in https://services.d4science.org/group/grsf_admin/. It is important to traverse through its contents and identify problematic or missing information.

The outcomes of this task will be reported on a document/wiki page and will afterwards be used for identifying the appropriate solutions for updating them.

Following up from the latest email from Nikos on the matter (15 December 2016 12:21), we further reviewed the competency queries, accessing them from the iMarine application (https://i-marine.d4science.org/group/grsf_admin/grsf-competency-queries

7 - Retrieve all records for which a state and trend evaluation is available:

According to requirements we expect to collect the following information on state & trend: "Fishing pressure - quantitative ; Fishing pressure - qualitative ; Abundance level - quantitative ; Abundance level - qualitative". The information so far retrieved does not seem to be broken into those categories.
RAM and FishSource is NON-STANDARD (qualitative or quantitative),
FIRMS is NON-STANDARD (qualitative or quantitative) in these xpaths /fi:FIGISDoc/fi:AqRes/fi:AqResStateTrend/fi:ExploitRate/@FreeValue /fi:FIGISDoc/fi:AqRes/fi:AqResStateTrend/fi:AbundanceLevel/@FreeValue and
STANDARD (qualitative) in these xpaths /fi:FIGISDoc/fi:AqRes/fi:AqResStateTrend/fi:ExploitRate/fi:StandardExploitRate/@Value /fi:FIGISDoc/fi:AqRes/fi:AqResStateTrend/fi:AbundanceLevel/fi:StandardAbundanceLevel/@Value
On the contrary, this xpath /fi:FIGISDoc/fi:AqRes/fi:AqResStateTrend/fi:ExploitState/@Value should be ignored.

8 - Retrieve all records for which abundance level is above 1:

a) the values for abundance level and exploitation rate retrieved for RAM are still not the correct ones, they should be "BdivBmsytouse, BdivBmgttouse, UdivUmsytouse, UdivUmgttouse" as specified at https://support.d4science.org/projects/stocksandfisherieskb/wiki/RAM_data_source_telco_2016-05-19 and in the post call clarification https://support.d4science.org/attachments/download/403/post_call_clarifications_2016-05-19.pdf
b)Does not retrieve any FIRMS value. This is probably a FIRMS data problem, where indicators are stored embedded within text.

21 - Retrieve all water areas and related records:

Can it be for each area code a list of stocks/fisheries? To avoid repetitions? Same for 22, 25, 26.

30 - Retrieve all fishing pressure values:

Add a column with the name of the indicators used (as for example it was done in query N8 with the column named “indicator_or_unit”)

31 - Retrieve all abundance level values:

Add a column with the name of the indicators used (as for example it was done in query N8 with the column named “indicator_or_unit”)

32 - Count all assessment units/resources:

this number does not match the number in the catalogue

33 - Count all fisheries:

this number does not match the number in the catalogue

34 - Count all records:

this number does not match the number in the catalogue (i.e. from the catalogue GRSF (9616) vs. number_of_records 9902)
