Description
Starting from the latest smartgears release, the tomcat startup times have increased by order of magnitudes.
To start a dataminer more than 20 minutes are needed, and a R connector installed in the GARR cluster needed 45 minutes.

smartgears is not the culprit, it seems.
When the hosts have lots of scopes the registry cannot satisfy the requests fast enough.
