We had a small workshop yersterday at IOTC (less than 10 people, from mozambic, kenya, madagascar, sri lanka..) to show how to use a VRE to execute some R codes with Rstudio.
We faced multiple issues: it seems some invitations have not been received and I had to connect each participant to make RStudio work properly. Indeed, we had error 500 or authentication issues for each participant (except one perhaps) and I had to switch to use Rstudio either in production or in development (from RStudiolab or Rprototypinglab).
Beside Rstudio connection issues, a short comment to say it's still not obvious for newcomers to understand how to register after the invitation has been received. When new to the system, I think they don't realize that they have to create a login, it should be more explicit in the message or in the Web page they access to. Once they have a login, I think they should directly access the VRE for which the invitation was sent. This is ok during a training session but it's a bit more complicated remotely when we just send invitations.
