This setting should be applied on all instances running in production:
node2.p.d4science.research-infrastructures.eu node26.p.d4science.research-infrastructures.eu
Please, apply the new setting without restart the containers.

The limits were raised in 2013, but the pam configuration for the su command was not fixed. So the new limits were set when manually starting the service from a login shell, but not at boot time.
I've fixed /etc/pam.d/su on both hosts.
Note that the ansible provisioned servers always have that fix applied.
