New VM with Resource Registry instance
100%
/gcube, /gcube/devNext, /gcube/devNext/NextNext
resource-registry latest from snapshot (last 1.7.0-SNAPSHOT)
Description
In order to test the Resource Manager operations, I request a new VM hosting an instance of Resource Registry on manuele-dev.d4science.org.
These are the requirements for the new VM:
- run under a different user than gcube (gcube2?)
- Smartgear-based
- configured to stay offline
- operate in the following contexts: /gcube, /gcube/devNext, /gcube/devNext/NextNext
- hosting an instance of the most recent Resource Registry service
About the Resource Registry instance:
- it has be configured to access to the same OrientDB instance used in dev
- a dedicate DB have to be created in OrientDB and the RR must be instructed to use that DB
- suggested name for the DB: ResourceManagerPlayground

Regarding the point
- run under a different user than gcube (gcube2?)
is what I suggest to Manuele to avoid to waste hardware resources but if you prefer to use another machine (for example because the playboook does not cover such a case) it is not a problem.

It would be the same on my side. Just make sure that whatever option you go for (new machine or different user) the same keys as gcube@manuele-dev are authorized to access to the VM.

I'll create a new VM, better to have the same standard everywhere.

The VM is up. The resource registry configuration should be verified. @luca.frosini@isti.cnr.it can you do that? I gave you access as gcube
user.

As a further evidence, I'm able to contact this Resource Registry instance from the Resource Manager. Thanks.
